I woke up this morning, and realized that we forgot to paint the camel last night! I would guess that we were too tired to think about it after 2 fun nights in a row. There were still some of you that I didn't get to visit with as I hoped to, but it was a great time with everyone. Safe travels to those returning home out of town, and I hope to see you all again before another 10 years pass.

HHHmmmm....I think I know what I will do tonight. Even though the reunion is over, that camel still needs a 78 on it. One way or another it will have one....haha

I agree, that Camel needs to be taken care of....it defintiely needs a "78 on it's side!! What a great reunion and fun weekend this has been. Again, thank you to everyone for their hard work in organizing and for all those who participated in the event and the website. Also to those who were such good sports (Bronwen and Kenny). As soon as I work the figures, I'll post some stats from the weekend! It was very evident this weekend that "78 IS Great!! Safe travels to those traveling back home! Stay in touch on the site!!

I'm really looking forward to seeing the pictures you all took this weekend. I hope that there are many, and that you will kindly put names with faces. I look exactly the same, but most of you have changed! And if you believe that-----
It would have been nice to see all that made the re-union in person, but connecting here is really neat. I've really enjoyed reading and re-reading others profiles, such as Duane Ekwall, I remember your "you will be shot by the Gestapo" quite well, but have never gotten "Bee ahhhh, Boy yoyyyy" out of my brain either. Oh brother--------wish I would have spent a little time getting to know you, I just thought you were insane!! Now I appreciate that quality in people hahah.
Hurry with the pictures!!

LOL Ann I was just a little insane back in high School but it was all Brian Champine and Rick Bakers fault hahaha.
Anyway I just want to say ditto on what everyone else was saying about the reunion. It was better than I could have imagined since it was 20 years since I had attended one. I made some new life long friends that I knew about in high school but never took the time to get to know better back then.

In talking to some of the committee members, I realized how close of a class we were through good and bad times. We were a class that stuck together and helped each other through the trying times. I felt sad when it came time to leave.

As I think we all agreed with this website, there's no reason we can't stay connected and no reason we have to wait 10 years to get together. We had even talked about having small get togethers on occasion in which people who live around Gillette can attend but the invitation would always be open for those who live further away.

After leaving Gillette to go back to Sheridan, I felt priveleged to know all of you and to get to know most of you at the reunion.

A special thanks to the reunion committe and to Marty and Bobby for being so patient with my horrible golfing technique. You guys made me a fan and new participant in the sport. I'm going to start looking for some clubs and learn how to do it right. But hey, we still won, We beat Craig, Rick, and Rodney. In your face guys!!!! HAHAHA.
I love the Class of 78.

Oh and I also wanted to say WOW how some of you have stayed looking the same as in high school after 30 years!!! ie...Brian Griffin (minus the moustache), Judy Barbour, Dick Cox, Lou Wilkson, and Marty Maher. You guys looked just as I remembered you. Keep up the good work lol.

Hey everyone just wanted to say hello again and thank everyone for making it so nice for Jen and I. It was very important for me to attend the reunion, and didn't know why. I suppose it has something to do with bringing my life to full circle,an affirmation of how important you folks really are to me. I wish everyone the best and look forward to keeping better in touch with each and every one of you. Thanks again to everyone who helped bring it together. Brad

Jeanie LeFave (Schlautmann)

Hi everyone, just wanted to say this was just an awesome reunion. I think better than the other two, mostly cuz of this site. It's been the best!! To see some folks beforehand on the site and then recognize them right off in person was way cool I thought. Especially those I haven't seen for say, 30 years!! And then of course the town folk who I never see either, I just loved it. It was so much fun.

Thanks Peg, and your committee for truly outdoing yourselves. Hope to see everyone around.

It sounds like everyone had a good time! I can't wait for all the pictures! Does anyone have pics of eckwall golfing??? I bet that was funny sight!!! Hope to make it to the 40th!!! Just think, we will all be getting close to 60....yikes!! Thanks again to everyone who helped put all the reunions together!!!

08/04/08 03:40 PM #95

Peg Daly (Smith)

I have to agree with Jeanie...this was the best reunion yet! It is truly apparent that we have the BEST class, one filled with strong friendships and ties! As Duane mentioned, we're going to try o stay connected via the site and so whenever you "out-of-towners" come to town, let us know and we'll all try to meet. We had too much fun to wait an entire decade before we meet again!

I will get the pics. posted very soon but I want to warn you, there are LOTS!!! I will also post some of the interesting stats when they are compiled!!

Hey Peg, I can't wait to see the pics. I'm hoping that you can make it possible for everyone to post pics that they took. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera so I'm hoping to download some of the pics taken by the people who weren't stupid enough to forget their cams lol meaning yours truly.

I ran into Mrs. Lott today and she asked me if I enjoyed myself on Friday. I told her that I got to visit with a lot of people that I haven't seen in a long time and that I had the best time ever. Thank you, to everyone that worked so hard to put this event together. This reunion was the best fun, of all. Hopefully with the website we can all stay in touch ... ;o)

I have to agree with everyone, this was the best reunion by far. We had a great time. Thanks to Peg, Lou, Deanna, Sue, and everyone else to make this happen. Great way to reconnect with old friends and make new friends.
By the way, did that camel ever get a "78" on it?
Kelley

I remember eating supper at Pat Chambers house when we were about 10 or 11 years old. Pats mom told me they were Catholic and ask me what religion I was. I told her I was Prostitute! I'm not amazed its been 30 years since I graduated, I'm amazed I graduated at all. This web site is great and I've already got it touch with 2 good friends because of it. Thanks to all who put the time in to do this. "Freedom is forgiveness"

Thanks for the photos!!! Everyone looks great! I loved our class but wasn't until this website did I realize just how much. So many things I had forgotten until recently about "the good ole days". Love you all! Diana

I am loving the idea of getting to know more about our classmates through this site. Randy's story about dinner at Pat's house is hilarious! This is great that after 30 years, we're even better connected and feel closer than ever!!

OMG - those photos are HILARIOUS! Nice job, Peg!! I can't decide which I enjoyed more, 10, 20 or 30 years! Although I know I had the very most fun this year. What a fun, fun week-end. I loved high school and thanks to all of you for making it so fun.
