Memorial Services for Dewitt Clinton Jones, Jr. will be held at Walker Funeral Home on Thursday, December 8 at 2:00 with Clint Pickrel of the Gillette Christian Center presiding. Dewitt died of natural causes on November 30th in Tyler, TX. Cremation has taken place.

Dewitt was born on August 22, 1959 to Dewitt C. and Donna (Hiett) Jones in Sidney, Nebraska. The family moved to Gillette, WY in 1966. He was a graduate of Campbell County high School. After his graduation, he attended Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte, NE studying electronics. While in North Platte he met his future wife Yolanda Lane and they later married in 1982. They made their home in Gillette and after 28 years of marriage they divorced but remained friends.

During his growing up years, he enjoyed tennis and badminton. He was always out making some money as a kid with lawn mowing, delivering papers or any way he could and was very ambitious. He was a very kind-hearted guy who loved his family and was always pulling a prank on his friends, co-workers, and family.. During his working career, he was employed by Campbell County School District and owned apartment buildings with his brother which he later managed. He took great pride in his ability to repair anything that was broken and remodeled his home in Gillette.

He is survived by his mother Donna Hiett and brother David Jones both of Gillette, numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
