Julie was the first girl that I ever kissed. She was way out of my league and of coarse my heart was broken that summer eve at 4-H camp. And now she is gone and has done it again.

There is only one word to describe Julie and that is -"FIGHTER"! Remember when she couldn't walk and had to be in a wheel chair for so long? Well she fought her way out of that situation - didn't she.

We went through several cancer treatments together. The oncology nurses marveled at her spunk. While they were trying to catch her to hook her up to IV treatment, she would be on the phone trying to coordinate her family's lives or she had a caluclator in one hand with a stack of papers in the other requiring her attention. Always with such a great attitude and lover of life.

She fought for a long time and she should be proud as she has left a wonderful set of kids.

You know, I knew Julie since the 4th grade, she lived a couple houses down from me, and we were inseparable. She was always so generous and giving. Always wanted me to have what she had. She always had lots of boyfriends, they all loved her, and she loved them!! Was such a flirt.

Her main goal since we were girls was always getting married and having babies -- lots of them too!! Well she got her wish and married Glen, way too early and then had the joy of her life...Joy. Then she got sick with Ghianbereat (sp) a disease that paralyzed her, and she couldn't be in my wedding. I was so sad for that part, then by a miracle she was able to walk again and go on to have more babies and to be able to continue with her life. It was simply amazing.

As Vanda said she did have many different struggles with her health, and through it all she never gave up her faith. When she was diagnosed with cancer she always said she was going to beat it...and she fought a long hard 10 years!! It was her faith that gave her the strength to fight so hard, that and her kids!! She loved those kids to no end.

Julie and I had some great times over the years, I was always just a part of her family. And as we got older if we didn't see each other for awhile and when we did, we picked up right where we left off...

I loved her so much, and will always miss her. She was my best friend.

God bless you dear friend, and we will meet again.

There are givers, and takers in this world. Julie was definitely a giver, and had such a capacity for doing for others. I know that Julie contributed a lot to the local baseball club, and touched many lives. She was an incredibly sweet woman who was also incredibly strong.
