Randy Linder

Funeral services for Randy Lee Linder, 42, of Gillette will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Martin Crump of Family Life Church of Gillette officiating.

Cremation will follow the service.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

 

Mr. Linder died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of a gunshot wound.

He was born June 26, 1959, to Arthur L. and Mary Lou (Gilstrap) Linder in Sheridan.

Mr. Linder attended school in Campbell County.

He worked for Directional Drilling and Consultants and recently returned to his job of many years, with SS and T Drilling, so he could be near his children.

He loved fishing, hunting and hiking in the mountains with his family. He was a loving and devoted father and would do projects for neighbors who were unable to do them themselves.

On Feb. 16, 1999, he married Mary Fay Blankenbeker in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife; three children, Dusty, Niki and Aaron Linder; his brother Troy Linder; his mother, Mary Lou Linder, all of Gillette; his father Arthur Linder of Fairfield, Ill.; his grandmother, Lora Gilstrap of Billings, Mont.; and one niece.

Mr. Linder was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather.

A memorial has been established in Mr. Linder's name and donations may be sent in care of Wilson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 734, Gillette, WY 82717.

Duane Ekwall

I remember most Randy's laugh because he use to laugh all the time at the Champine and Ekwall antics back in 9th grade. He was kind of quiet but very nice and always had good things to say about the people he cared most about.
