Cindy Hoffman Ramirez

I lived in Gillette from 1968-1974 and attended the old Rawhide School. My 8th grade year I went to Jr. High School in Gillette but don't recall the name of the school. We then moved to MT and then later back to WY where I graduated from Upton High School in 1978.

I attended Casper College for 2 years and then started working for an attorney in Casper, when she moved her office in December 1980 to Denver I stayed in Casper and got on with Marathon Oil Company. I have been with Marathon for over 27 1/2 years now.

In early 1985 I was tired of the snow and cold in WY so I transferred to our TX office. Due to the distance from family still in WY, I decided to just stay here a year or two and then move closer to WY but I met my husband, Al, got married, had kids and the rest is history.

I recognize alot of names on the Classmate Profile - must have been from Church/Church Camps, Judy, Wayne, LaRae & Rhonda from Rawhide, 8th Grade and maybe some from Casper College

I have many many memories of Rawhide. Mrs. Vandekoppel, 1 room school house and outdoor toilet, extended recess and the fox & geese trails we made in the field, walking up to the rocks and carving our names in sandstone, Mrs. Reetz sitting on Wayne Morel.

My memories are very limited at the 8th grade campus - it was very tramatic leaving Rawhide to go to town but I do remember a Science teacher Mr. Sneather - only because that was my first F ever!!
